Magic Johnson's Enterprises: Why do they all turn so "ghetto?"
We all know the illustrious basketball star, Magic Johnson. Also we know he has HIV. He is a HUGE advocate for HIV and AIDS Awareness. However, this man has become a very, very successful businessman. His business include 4 movie theatres, 116 Starbucks, many restaurants, Fatburger 31 Burger King's and 13 24-Hour Fitness. His enterprises are hugely directed towards to bring up the Black Community. In the Ladera Center in Los Angeles he owns the FYE store, the Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Fatburger and Magic Fridays. FYE is a pretty well-run store. Jamba Juice. Always good. The Starbucks is kinda ghetto. Fatburger is good as always. And then there is the Magic Friday's. I swear this is the only Friday's in America where there is security and bouncers at the door. There is also Magic's Fitness over on La Cienega and Slauson. I 've heard the clientele is also pretty "ghetto fab" trying to get rid of their bodonk-a-donk" booties while chewing down on Popeyes either before or after. Don't get started on The WalMart at Crenshaw Plaza and Crenshaw Mall for that matter. However, the worst of the worst is the Magic Johnson's Theatres. You know how you are in a theatre that is "ghetto fabulous" The moviegoers yell and "holla" at the screen making all kinds of noise. I would NEVER go to these theatres. EVER!
It's not even ghetto fabulous. It's just GHETTO..in a fabulous area (maybe). Ladera Heights is a nice area, however, you get people coming in from other cities who already come equipt with their bad manners and "ghettocity" (pronounced: get-au-city) you even have the Ladera people trying to be all "gangsta". They're NOT. They're from Ladera Heights!!! The Friday's gets a C- in my book, as the service sucks and the people are too loud, not to mention they dress as if they're going to a night club. Customer service is non-exitent at this location. Please don't get me started on the gym. All this is is boujie ass people trying to be upper class. Half the people who work out there are NOT from that little 3mi radius. Yes, they do go chow down on Fatty McFat food before and/or after working out. And they come to the gym dressed to the nines. It's the gym. Are they there to sweat or pick up? I will go with the latter. Lastly, but certainly not least we will touch on the Magic Johnson Theater. This is Ghettocity at its finest. The loudness, the verbiage is just like fingers on a chalkboard. I have been here MANY years ago and it was bad. With this new generation of kids, or "ghettoids" as I call people who partake in anything ghetto and think it's cool. I can only imagine what it is like now. I will NEVER go there, unless of course I have a death wish, since my mouth is faster my brain. It is not an area which make a people, it is the people who make the people. Furthermore, it is not the "white man" who holds up the black community, it is the blacks who hold up their own community. Stop pointing fingers and take responsibility. Accountability is the name of the game.
