Why dont people "sue" after they're been wrongly imprisoned for a LIFE SENTENCE?

Honestly why wouldn't anyone sue the state. I am person who think suing someone for monetary gain or to ruin someone's life for the rest of their natural life is wrong. However, if I were to be wrongly imprisoned for a life sentence and 27 years down the road evidence came out I didn't do it I would be happy but also EXTREMELY ANGRY!!!

A man in Southampton, England was released after 27 years of a life sentence due to recent DNA evidence. He confessed but since was diagnosed as a pathological liar he was released. Stupid for admitting to a crime he didn't commit but nonetheless he is being released. He was imprisoned in 1982 and was 30 years old. Now he is 57. He has pretty much lived half of his entire life in jail. What also boggles my mind is DNA evidence started in 1986. WHAT THE FUCK TOO SO LONG THAT IT TOOK 23 YEARS TO PROVE THE INNOCENCE OF THIS MAN!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!!!!!!

It could be that possibly people do not care to sue because so much time has taken place between the present and the time that the crime was committed, that they think they just do not have a case and say f*** it. And given the above mentioned expamle, it took the man 27 years to get out of jail. Maybe he thought that it would take just as long to reap the benefits of any suit.
